(For those of you who don’t know DC or live under a rock) Though it sounds like it could be a person, Marvin is actually a restaurant/bar in my neighborhood. Because I go there so often, I’ve gotten to know almost everyone who works there as well as a number of other regulars. In fact, I’ve posted photographs from in and around Marvin a number of times. It feels like a community rather than a business establishment which is a main reason why so many people come back to it.
So today’s post is dedicated to the place I fondly think of as a hipper Cheers.

…this upcoming week for FotoWeekDC. I don’t have all the information to put up here yet (i.e flyers, etc) so I’m going to put them up as the info comes to me. Here’s info for the first two shows…
Friday, November 6th:

This show has already been chosen by the Washington Post Going Out Gurus as an editor’s pick! They even mentioned me by name…kinda exciting, right?
Saturday Nov. 7th/Sunday Nov. 8th
This show is pretty exciting because I’m exhibiting with a number of already established photographers. For this exhibit, there are going to be a number of events ongoing throughout the week.
Please come out and support!

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you will probably recognize Mama Glock. She is my mother, obviously. But she also likes to take photos as well. Recently, she and Papa Glock went on a trip to France (if you couldn’t tell, we like going to France) and snapped some really cool photos. Including these two, which are of some kids tagging a couple graffiti designated walls.

Well, clearly some people are. Here are a few “candy corns” that I saw while on a walk this weekend:

(The second one is pretty creative, no?)
